God sent a savior in person of Obiano to govern Anambra State. He came tested and ok, for now we rejoice we have him. What he did in 100 days Peter Obi could not do in 8 good years he wasted. Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has said that through wide consultation, which culminated in the meeting of stakeholders of the state two weeks ago, he succeeded in building a consensus among the people of the state. Obiano, who said this in a broadcast to mark his 100 days in office, which was monitored in Awka, said the consensus has, in turn, earned him the confidence of the stakeholders in line with his “determination to carry everybody along in the implementation of his four pillars of development and the enablers”. According to the governor, his administration has succeeded in his first 100 days in office to lay solid foundation for the fulfilment of the promise of building a better state for the people. Also, Obiano said in keeping with the continuity agenda of his administration, he has continued with the execution of projects left behind by his predecessor, Peter Obi, and has, within the past 100 days, flagged off 14 new roads, totalling 167.494 kilometres, that provide direct access to the food basins of the state, in realisation of the vision of making the state “the first choice of investment destination and the most preferred location to site new industries”. According to Obiano, his drive to make Anambra safe through launching a war against crime and criminality has paid off, saying as at now, over 177 kidnappers have been arrested and over 97 of them have been prosecuted while many more have been chased out of the state. He has also enunciated agricultural revolution in collaboration with private companies targeted at increasing in the production of rice, cassava and other key crops to achieve food sufficiency, create employment and strengthen the economy. In addition to these, Obiano said he would drive the development and promotion of tourism in the state and speed up the development of the historic Ogbunike Cave as a world-class destination.
