God shows me sacrifice yet sweetness all in one. I have been praying for a way to save $ or make $ to go towards the Honduras Mission trip in May...to help put in a well for those people to have clean water, not muddy infected water to drink. Heres the sacrifice yet sweetness the Lord blessed me with... Our dishwasher has been on the blink several times in the past 6 months. We would hand wash dishes for a week before the part was shipped & installed (same part each time). Thank goodness we bought the warranty because after the 4th time it was called in, they would HAVE to totally replace our dishwasher for the cost we initially paid for it several years ago. On the 3rd time it was fixed, it worked ONE time then went out again. So in order to count it as our 4th time to call in, we had to wait another 30 days before we called. This meant we had to hand wash our dishes for 30 days, then wait another 4 days before the repair guy can make the last official visit to write it up, then wait another 2 weeks for the company to receive paperwork and ship me the purchase refund. So Ive handwashed dishes for right at 55 days as of today. Honestly, I griped and complained the whole time. I moaned and cursed at it because I was cramming in the handwashing amongst my normal work day and mommy-duties...I was thinking I have way too much on my plate for this! Then God spoke... And did He ever. It brought me to my knees in pure shame. I have prayed for a way to save money... and He answered. HE ANSWERED. I was so wrapped up in my grumblings that I didnt even see the picture He was painting for me during these 55 days. I am going to Honduras... in a place without dishwashers... a place without laundry machines... a place without computers or electronic devices that helps keep up with our daily agendas since we are so busy with life. Im going to a place where kids are on deaths bed because of the filthy water!!! He was preparing me for that emersion.... And because I handwashed, it saved me 55 days of electricity and heating up the water for the dishwasher (which is $ saved!). He answered my prayers yet I grumbled for 55 days. Hes got me... Hes got me now. Ive always been His stubborn child and Im so thankful He loves me no matter how many times I overlook His lessons and blessings. Just to let everyone know what all our team will be doing in Honduras, Im attaching a video for you to watch. I know God has me covered... but if you want to donate to the well, Im sure the Honduras families will be blessed beyond measure! https://youtube/watch?v=m2prmnIq4cg&feature=youtu.be
