Gods WORD builds UNMOVABLE FAITH. One of the messages that are lightly conveyed yet they are very crutial and important in our Christian walk are: 1. THE POWER AND THE IMPORTANCE OF GODs WORD not just to HIM but to US TOO. We grew up hearing our grandmothers say they have songs that keep them strengthened (baneentonga), theres nothing wrong with having that song, but greater FAITH is released even more when u read, speak or declare Gods word over any situation, the book of Romans says, Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the WORD of GOD. To GOD: His word is so important, the bible says in John 1, In the Beginning was the WORD and the WORD was with GOD and the WORD was GOD, and without HIM (THE WORD), NOTHING was made that was made. The bible also says in Psalm 138, I have MAGNIFIED my WORD above my Name, thats how important GODs word is to Him. To US: Hebrew 4, says the WORD of God is sharper than any double edged sword, penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow and is a descerner of the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 2 Tim 3v16-17 says, 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2. READING THE BIBLE TO BUILD YOUR OWN FAITH...NB: We dont read and study the bible to PREACH IT to others even if u are called to Preach, it must be formulated in urselves first, and then the transformation of the word ingested will PREACH to others, David says in Psalm 119, i have hidden ur word in my heart so that I may not sin against You. So David doesnt read, keep and hide Gods word to tell others NOT to sin, conviction starts with himself! 2. SEING OUR FAITH THROUGH THE MIRROR WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD. James 1 says, When u are just a HEARER of the word and not a DOER, u are like a man observing himself in the mirror, and immediately goes away and forget how he Looks like. I remember when I was a kid, my late great-grandmother used to read it to us everyday, I loved it so much thou It didnt make much sense then. In Sunday school, it was explained in a drama form and we would be given scriptures to recite but still it made less sense because of its compexity! When the infilling of the HOLY SPIRIT came into my life, the bible all of a sudden made more sense than being just a big book that I had to read. Those scriptures invested from my childwood came back in a revealation! What Im saying is, the bible is a SPIRITUAL BOOK and therefore it will be senseless and meaningless to the canal mind. For ALL scripture is GOD breathed! The bibles is not for those who will stand in the pulpit and preach it to us. The reason why Preacher seem so powerful than others is because the spend time in the word, the reaason why saint accept every docrine and find themselves chewing grass is not reading the word. We should give ourselves Assignments, Purpose to be busy with a Book a Week, making sure we understand it. The bible says in Joshua, this book of the law shall not depart from ur mouth, meditate upon it day and night. The bible also says, in All thy getting get understanding, get wisdom. Dont leave it until its in ur spirit. We must make sure we have GOOD BIBLES too, a bible scholar will have more than one bible version, a KJV (King James) and study bible I recommend plus a NOTE PAD and a PEN, Plus have a friend/s to share it with, its time to Get confidence in sharing what God has Revealed to u, be a blessing!
