Gods Word promises: Matthew 6:33 (NIV) 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Romans 8:28 (NIV) 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Ephesians 3:20 (KJV) 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, You may ask, What does all that mean? By placing God and His ways of righteousness first in our lives, we prepare our tables for His masterfully prepared entrees better known as blessings. These blessings are not prepared to narrowly meet our needs or to get us to some predefined recommended daily allowance. No, they are prepared to blow our minds and exceed any thought we can conceive. A newborn baby, the perfect new job, physical and mental healing....all these things are possible with God, Who said: Isaiah 55:9 (NIV) 9 As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. I encourage you to seek His Kingdom and His Righteousness by studying and internalizing these sacred scriptures, so that you may get a better understanding of Who He is and what He is capable of. We cannot fully comprehend or know Him, but we can gain knowledge of His promises and His rules. To get to His promises, we have to follow His rules. Certainly a nonbeliever can paddle their boat across a lake with an oar, but knowing and following Gods rules is akin to raising a sail and allowing Him to gently blow your vessel across the lake. I believe you can only raise that sail by pulling on the rope of knowledge that is His Word. Study and be encouraged because Jesus is alive!
