Gods word in the Bible is final and absolute. Well then what do - TopicsExpress

Gods word in the Bible is final and absolute. Well then what do we do about the parts where different verses/chapters contradict eachother? There are many items in the New Testament that supposedly override statements in the Old Testament. Does God change his mind from time to time? Um, well maybe some of the guys wrote down his wishes incorrectly the first time? But if God himself was directing the people what to write, surely he wouldve proofread it and made them fix any mistakes, right? Seems like that would be a big deal. Also, if people are capable of making transcribing mistakes, or God changes his mind, then how can we take anything in the Bible seriously? Or if we picture Jesus as the kind hippie who told us to love our neighbors, and God as the mean jerk who said to enslave and rape and murder people, but they are theoretically the same person, then which part of the schizophrenic personality do we listen to? Um... well... Blasphemy!! Im not talking to you anymore!!
