Going to be a bit of a critic here and stems away from my usual posts of growth and positivity, but we all need to vent sometimes. 😉 Anyways, I found it to be extremely disturbing seeing the Oilers stand around at center ice with their sticks held high after last nights win. The sense of pride these boys posses for the amount theyve accomplished is sickening. We did not win the cup, we did not end a reasonable season, we simply just broke an 11 game loosing streak. Something that should be looked upon as detrimental and certainly not a credible reason to inquire buoyancy from your fans. We are here to win guys. Thats plural not singular. If you maintain a mindset that winning one game for every dozen is acceptable then thats the way it will stay. If you skate of the ice realizing the reality of this win was not impactfull enough, rather then seeking a sypathetic response, then the idea of turning these losers into consistent winners may actually be plausible. In my opinion they have no right to act like champions when they have displayed something completely contradicting. Thoughts?
