Going to drive on the M6 today. I must be mad as the school holidays started on Friday. If its warm will use the air-con even though it drops my MPG by 5.3 I own a petrol engine. Not sure if Diesel would fare better, but the noise puts me off anyhow. If the traffic is bad I will use the Sat-Nav app on my phone even though it drains the battery quicker. I own an iPhone. Not sure if the Samsung battery would fare better on extended use but the touch-screen puts me off anyhow.
