Going to see Ramon Ayala, finally!!! Thank you to the Familia Jaimez for this wonderful present! No way would I have been able to afford this right now! My favorite of all Norteño and Tex-Mex music is without doubt Ramon Ayala and his spiritual heir, Michael Salgado. This stuff is Country music, or more than that, Blues, in a really broad meaning of the word--in the same way Johnny Cash, Muddy Waters, Huaynos, Tex-Mex, Norteño and Vallenato are all different but all the same.
