Going to the doctor today. Sometime Friday night my right ear drum perforated. Went to sleep with ear congestion, lots of pressure and pain all down my jaw. Woke up Saturday without pressure and pain, but with fluid in my ear. This neither emergency nor crisis. Ear drum has perforated before. I can still hear and have no fever nor ear pain. Just the tinnitus is WAY louder on the right than it ever has been before. Most people stop having ear infections in childhood. Mine have lasted all my life. Each time I get a new doctor I go through the same thing the first time they look in my ears. Wow! Scarring! Perforation! Yeah, I know. If your Eustachian tubes are normal, they changed angle as you grew up and you stopped getting ear infections. For some of us that didnt happen. More later.
