Gold zooms past Rs 30K MCX Gold today once again zoomed past the Rs 30,000-mark, after a gap of almost six months. MCX Gold October futures are trading in green with a huge gain of 3.5 per cent at Rs 30,183 as strong US data indicated the Federal Reserve could soon start tapering its massive stimulus. In the International markets, the Gold December futures is up 0.4 per cent at $ 1,365.90. Yesterday, International Gold had jumped 1.5 per cent at $ 1,366.50. Recently, the Indian government had hiked Gold import duty from existing 8 per cent to 10 per cent. Import duty on Silver too was increased to 10 per cent from 6 per cent earlier. Meanwhile, International Silver is trading at $ 23.028 up 0.4 per cent. MCX Silver September futures has zoomed 6.5 per cent (Rs 3,046) at Rs 49,616.
