Goliath Update with Michelle Griego Scott: He got a high fever last night, and is on antibiotics. Even with fluids and enemas overnight, still no evacuations. I picked him up at the Emergency Veterinary Hospital of Tualatin this morning at about 6:30a, and brought him back to Murrayhill Veterinary Clinic for more fluids, stool softeners, and enemas. As of 4pm, still no evacuations. I came home, picked up Michelle, and we went to visit, dropping off a worn shirt from each of us, so he can smell us. He will stay at Murrayhill another night (without fluids this time, which is why we dont need to take him to Tualatin). We got a last minute call from the Vet at 6:30pm. Some of the biggest blockage has become soft enough to remove manually, so the Vet is optimistic that Goliath has turned a corner! We are now waiting anxiously for word tomorrow morning that he pooped a LOT during the night. The Vet is hopeful that we can bring him home tomorrow evening!!!! Our fingers are crossed... Especially since he has refused to eat for two days! Stay tuned....
