Good Evening CHA PTA Members; Mrs. Hall is looking for someone to serve as a Volunteer Coordinator for the Book Fair as well as other volunteers. Only cashiers are required to be approved. Descriptions of the positions are below. If you are interested and available, please contact Mrs. Hall as soon as possible. ([email protected] or 817-289-0281) She needs the Volunteer Coordinator position filled as quickly as possible. The book fair is open 8th-15th of December 2014. Here are the following positions; Volunteer Coordinator * Recruits Book Fair team * Schedules volunteers * Hosts volunteer training * Sends volunteer reminder notices * Creates a volunteer thank-you poster * Coordinates writing thank-you notes Promotions Volunteer * Hangs posters and arrows * Schedules viewings of the Author Video * Oversees decorating committee * Conducts classroom contests * Sends letters and book lists home * Coordinates public address skits Classroom Wish List Volunteer * Creates Classroom Wish List display board * Coordinates Teacher Sneak Peek with Teacher Representative * Provides copies of book wish forms for teachers to send home * Collects and distributes donated books to teachers Teacher Representative * Distributes invitations to Teacher Sneak Peek * Encourages participation in Classroom Wish List * Coordinates Author Video viewing schedule with teachers * Arranges class activity participation (e.g., door decorating contest) Booktalk Volunteer * Shares booktalk concept with faculty * Promotes booktalks during Book Fair week * Organizes booktalk activity for Family Event(s) * Arranges cases and sets up table displays * Merchandises products and decorates Fair * Restocks books and straightens cases * Repacks product after Fair Cashier Volunteer * Reviews Scholastic EasyScan® informational video at scholastic/bookfairs/easyscanvideo and materials packed with Scholastic EasyScan machine * Handles all purchasing transactions * Distributes Classroom Wish List bookplates and collects donated books * Keeps FAQs and tax chart available * Completes restock form as needed * Keeps pre-paid orders in binder with students name, grade, teachers name, and amount paid * Bags books for shoppers Thank you for your Support!!!
