Good Evening Everyone! The Mooney household could really use your prayers. I apologies for how long what just started out as a note ran. Im sorry if I have not been on line very much but I have just been home from the hospital for a few days. Also my computer has bitten the dust so I have to borrow hubbys computer. The hip that I had surgery on in twice in one year. Decided to pop out of its socket this time. And OMG!!!!! Talk about Pain!! I just thought having 3 babies hurt! Anyway one hospital and two different doctors (including my new orthopedic surgeon) later and they had managed to forceably push the hip back into place. Thankfully I was knocked out for the two separate procedures (I think). This left me in a hospital bed, extremely sore, with a kind of plastic cast that straps on from my ankle to the top of the hip, and Im praying that it would hopefully stay in place this time. I was told that I had basically destroyed all the good healing that my hip, muscles and ligaments had done in the 2 months and one week of healing since my last hip surgery. So now I am starting all my physical rehab all over again. Plus do yall remember my left arm that has been hurting so much but my old orthopedic sports medicine doctor swore up and down that it was not torn. Well Newsflash not only is it torn requiring surgery but two discs are ruptured and are very painfully pressing down on the nerve. By the way it takes time for a disc to rupture and press down on a nerve. We were told by the P.A. (that assisted in both of my hip surgeries) that it would take a minimum of 6 months for this to occur). Same P.A. was also present in and around the sports medicine doctor due to the fact that the two doctors are partners. We did have the deductible paid during the time period when the sports medicine doctor had me get the MRIS and swore up and down that there was nothing wrong. Thus no surgery until I pay my deductible again and lots and lots of pain are in my future. I now have to pay my deductible again or find a good medical Mal-practice lawyer. IF ANYONE KNOWS OF A REALLY GOOD MEDICAL MAL-PRACTICE LAWYER OR FIRM I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL FOR THE REFERRAL. Its really a shame that it has to take this course of action instead of the doctor owning up to his mistake and fixing the problem. I really had faith in and just loved my first orthopedic hip surgeon and his P.A. but at this last meeting he threatened me and went back on his word. Prior to the second hip surgery he had promised me that no matter what all he wanted was to get me up and walking and since it was the device failure of the implant that he put in that no matter what happened it was not going to cost me anymore money than what what my insurance would pay no matter what I needed after the second surgery. Now he is telling me that if anything else happens to that hip its going to cost me a lot of money and even rubbed his fingers together to indicate and reinforce money!! By the way I still have a lot of faith in the P.A. He even tried to apologize for the actions of the of the other two doctors (as if he were in anyway responsible). My husband and I would not let him apologize nor take the blame. It was in no way his fault nor his responsibility. I can say that I have met a truly honorable and talented young man. I really hope that this incident does not change him. More Really bad news to come but I think that this is enough depressing news for one night.
