Good Evening Facebook Family As we close day four of one of the most devastating fire events we have ever seen, I would like to take a moment to thank you for your continued support and assistance during this trying time. We have been doing our very best to make sure all information is accessible to our community. I would like to thank our EPIC Disaster response team of interpreters who have tirelessly responded to the need of the public and left their families at a moments notice to interpret the press conferences and those who remain on stand-by for evacuation centers and shelters. As well as the entire DCS staff and volunteers for holding down the fort and supporting our clients. Without this amazing team of people we would not be able to made such improvements since the 2007 fire. I would also like to thank the various agencies, San Diego County Office of Emergency Services, CalFire, City of Carlsbad, City of San Diego, City of San Marcos, the City of Escondio, the Office of the San Diego Mayor and the Red Cross, for their collaboration, partnership and access to crucial information to pass along to the community. We will continue to work together to give you the most recent and accurate information. Our hearts go out to those families who have lost property and who are still unable to go back home. I have faith in the tremendous skill and bravery of the first responders on the ground and in the air and I hope we will all wake in the morning to cooler temperatures and fire containment. Lastly, please know we are here to support you during and after an emergency. For available programs and services vistit deafcommunityservices.org.
