Good Evening Slackers! I have some good news for you all. Due to frivolous efforts to advocate for the slack, we have finally reached an agreement on the longline policy for CU. HOWEVER, this agreement does have a set of restrictions that everyone should be aware of in order to maintain this privilege (and hopefully lead to less restrictions and slackaphobia). I know some of this may seem pretty limiting, but there are ways to work around logistics. This is essentially the same policy that CSM follows but with more permitted locations. 1. A maximum of ONE longline may be set up at a club meeting (Friday afternoons). 2. All longlines must have treewear (obviously). 3. Any longline can only be anchored to the approved anchors on the images that I have attached. 4. I must notify the faculty of our longline location each week, and anyone who wants to participate will have to sign a waiver that will be good for a year... I know the restrictions suck, but keep in mind: 1. This also allows us to have a longline to draw in more participants for our annual fundraiser. 2. Lines can be taken down and set up at different spans more than once in one meeting. 3. This prevents us from getting shut down... Sometimes.
