Good Evening, folks. Its time for JUPES VIEWS FOR YOUZ! Please read and comment, and thank you. If your birthday is January 21, you share the day with Stonewall Jackson, Wolfman Jack, and Placido Domingo. On this date in 1861, Jefferson Davis and four other senators resigned from the US Senate. In 1950, a New York jury found former State Department official, Albert Hess guilty of perjury. In 1977, Pres. Jimmy Carter pardoned almost all Vietnam War draft evaders. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think you can agree with me that these words spoken by Abraham Lincoln are very pertinent today; A House divided cannot stand. Actually, that was lifted from a Bible verse, Mark 3:25-If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. At any rate, we can agree on this premise, right? So why are we still fighting each other? I went and looked up the party platforms for both Tea Party and GOP for 2012...theyre virtually identical. Why are we fighting each other? I see people posting that they wont vote for anyone who isnt endorsed by the Tea Party. Big whoop...if your candidate doesnt get enough votes or interest from voters, they wont get nominated. How hard is that to understand? And please...go take a long, long look at your election ballot. Try to find the Tea Party listed there. Wont find it, and you want to know why? The Tea Party is a small faction of the GOP. Being louder doesnt mean theres more support, it just means youre louder. Latest polling puts the Tea Party at about 8%-12% of the total GOP. Not so big now, are we? Yet were fighting...for what? Votes? Money? Power? Ah...there you go. Matt Kibbe admitted last year that the aim of the Tea Party is to remove establishment Republicans, and allow the Tea Party to take over the party. Heres a little tidbit....if youre a Senator or a Representative whos sitting in Congress...you ARE the establishment...so embrace that for a moment. Most of the mainstream Tea Party membership has no real problem with the GOP...we want the same things after all. Smaller government, states rights returning to the states, lower taxes, fiscal responsibility, and stronger national defense. Theres a lot more, but those are off the top of my head. My beef isnt with about 75% of the Tea Party, but with those militant anti-GOP pundits and die-hards who refuse to budge an inch. Its not about principles at all, but about who they have a grudge against. The RINO garbage is one example. Label any multi-term senator or rep, regardless of how they vote, or what their conservative rating is? Thats defamation of character. Now, because of my words tonight, Im going to be accused of attacking the Tea Party. Not likely, Im telling the truth, this is not an attack. I was one of the die hards, who refused to see any wrong in the Tea Party, or with the GOP. That ended with the 2012 presidential elections, and hateful attacks by the TP almost immediately. You do know that the Tea Party backed Mitt Romney, right? I thought not. That was the last time that the Tea Party backed any GOP candidate. While the RNC supports all GOP candidates after winning nomination, regardless of whether theyre establishment or TP, the TP cant say the same. Its all or nothing there, folks. All or nothing. Now, I see that FreedomWorks has a petition out to stop Jeb Bush from running for president. How completely ignorant and hypocritical! Its so obviously another fundraising scheme, but lets just play along for a second. What law has Jeb Bush broken by declaring that he MIGHT run for president? None? What moral reason is there to deny him the constitutional right to run? None? And we know that the Tea Party wants to embrace the Constitution, right? Theres your hypocrisy right there. I dont support Jeb Bush, and I dont know of many people who do, but I do support his right to make a fool of himself...I mean, try to win the nomination. He wont get it. But put that aside. Heres whats supremely stupid about that idiotic petition. Novel idea. If you dont want Jeb Bush to win the nomination...DONT FREAKING VOTE FOR HIM IN THE PRIMARIES! Spread the word, but for Petes sake...this petition is for attention getting purposes only. Great! The Tea Party doesnt want Jeb Bush for president. Ditto for over 1/2 of America...get in line for not liking the dude...but just STFU about it. Instead of panicking about one guy, wait until they all declare! And stop worrying about early polls. Theyre about as useful as boobs on a bull. How about we just chill for now? And stop the stupid in-fighting! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2Timothy 2:23 But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And thats the way I see it, have a great night, and a better tomorrow.
