Good Morning FB Friends and Family! May the Lord bless you and keep you together loving one another during this holiday season and remember to be thankful for the sacrifice on the cross and the resurrection so that you can have life and life more abundantly (John 10:10). In 1 John 4 today, the Lord shared in verses 9 and 10, This how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. That is love! That is what we are to be thankful for and give praise to the Lord! Love explains (1) why God creates - because He loves, he creates us to love; (2) why God cares - because He loves us, He cares for sinful people; (3) why we are free to choose - God wants a loving response from us; (4) why Christ died - His love for us caused Him to seek a solution to the problem of sin; (5) why we receive eternal life - Gods love expresses itself to us forever! He is absolute goodness! HaHa! He cannot overlook, condone, or excuse sin as though it never happened. He loves us but His love does not make Him morally lax; but here is His promise to us: With Christs decision to complete His purpose -- as we trust in Him we will not have to bear the penalty for our sins (1 Peter 2:24). We will be acquitted (Romans 5:18) by His atoning sacrifice! Now if that does not get you jumping up and down praising the Lord! It does me! So friends remember that your freedom didnt come free! God paid a high price and your debt is paid; but not by you! Be thankful that we have a God who loves us so much that He would sacrifice Himself for us; sinners, a people who treat Him so casually! We can do better! We must do better! In the words of one of my dearest mentors --- I need you to do better! I will rejoice and be glad! That I am free in Christ and that I know this is not my home, but a temporary existence and one day I will see my Savior face to face where I can worship Him forever! Be in His presence forever, joyful, just being with Him! I will rejoice and be glad! Do not claim to never have seen Him; Jesus is the complete expression of God in human form and he has revealed God to us! When we love one another, the invisible God reveals himself to others through us and His love is made complete! Wooh HOO! Go God! Yes, rejoice and be glad that He loves you! Father, thank you for your presence this morning and showing me your love and simply being with you brings me joy and happiness that I do not have words to describe Lord! Thank you for saving my life and rescuing me from the grips of evil and changing my heart......I can feel your healing oil running down my brow - I wouldnt trade another lifetime for how I feel right now! Thank you for being relentless for my heart! Amen! Have a blessed day!
