Good Morning FBF Sometimes reflect back on your life, you will be amazed at the people God placed in your life path, and how these people have impacted your life. Again I want to mention Mrs. Nora Drew Gregory, my 4th, 5th, 6th grade teacher. Mrs. Gregory had a very light complexion, we "her students" thought she was a white woman. She would stand in the classroom and tell us to be proud of who we were, and to stand up straight! In the 5th grade, she knew I liked to draw, she had me to draw and paint the world map on the 30 ft classroom wall. She used it to teach us about the explorers and world history. The map stayed up on the wall for over 10 years. One day she came in with a visitor, he had on a flight suit and a helmet in his hand. He spoke to us about aviation and continuing our education. He was an American Jet Fighter Pilot and he was a "Negro" we say African American or Black now. She walked over and touched his shoulder and told us that he was her son. We were all astonished. This teacher had a great impact on her students. Today we all regard the experience and privilege of being in her class as a blessing from God. We need more dedicated teachers today, such as Mrs. Nora Drew Gregory to help teach the next generation of our children..................Stay in Motion, Life is Good!
