Good Morning, Family. Its Turn Down For What?! Tuesday Part 26 I Kings 16:18-20 18 One of the young men said, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who plays skillfully, a valiant man, a man of war, prudent in speech and eloquent, an attractive person; and the Lord is with him. 19 So Saul sent messengers to Jesse and said, Send me David your son, who is with the sheep. 20 And Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread, a skin of wine, and a kid and sent them by David his son to Saul. Last week, one of the things that I didnt point out is that part of Gods plan in promoting us, is that we are full participants in the process. You see, our responsibility is to do whatever assignment weve been given, in the spirit of excellence. It doesnt matter if weve been passed over, pushed aside, or unpopular. We must progress through the process, in the mist of corruption, confusion, and commotion; until we receive our promotion. You see, David went from playing and singing in the fields, to playing and singing in the palace and soothing the king Sauls heart. We are the answer to someones sorrow. We are the solution to someones situation. When we let our light shine, people will recognize the radiance. They will see our good works (see Matthew 5:16). They will know that weve been with the Lord, or that the Lord is with us; even if they cant express or articulate it. They will see something different in us. They must not only be aware of our actions. They should also be aware of our words. In other words, our actions should line up with our words. We are told that I would should be ... only such [speech] as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God’s favor) to those who hear it. (see Ephesians 4:29) Its Turn Down For What?! Tuesday, Family. Lets praise our way through the process.
