Volunteering Opportunities 1. In celebration of the upcoming holiday season, the Officers’ Club will be hosting Holiday Treats for Troops events. We will be utilizing a workshop style setup to make, decorate, package and distribute cookies and other assorted goodies to our troops in the barracks and the families of the deployed. The success of such an endeavor will depend heavily on the volunteer spirit. The workshops are scheduled for the 3rd, 10th, and 17th of December 2013 from 4:00-8:00pm, however volunteers will be needed for a variety of tasks from 2:00-10:00pm. We would also appreciate your efforts in forwarding this message to anyone you feel may be interested in helping. Please feel free to contact me for more details on the event, or to sign up as a volunteer. 2. Toys for Tots also have a multitude of volunteer opportunities - people can volunteer individually (even with your children - last year teenagers & pre-teens helped ensure that toys were age appropriate for the recipients) or as a unit or group. There is always a need for more volunteers to help the program be successful. POC for this years drive is SSgt Brian Pierce (830-0966 or [email protected]). He can be contacted to schedule volunteers or to answer all T4T questions. 3. LINKS CAX is looking for Volunteers to help run the event.
