Good Morning. The Lord is calling us to feel pain, sorrow or regret for the thing we have done or spoken that are not consistent with his commandments. If don’t repent we are never going to see the face of Jesus at His second coming. John the Baptist said in Matt. 3:2 – “And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” The Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines the word “repent” In this manner. “To sorrow or be pained for sin, as a violation of Gods holy law, a dishonor to his character and government, and the foulest ingratitude to a Being of infinite benevolence.” Do we really feel pained when we transgress the laws of God or do we just say, “God understands that I am a sinner?” This morning the Lord is calling us to take an introspective look at how we deal with our transgressions of His Laws. I pray that as we examine closely our actions that we will allow God to reveal to us our true condition so that we can remedy this situation with the correct action. Repentance is a most important step in ensuring that die to self, daily. It’s an important step in ensuring that God will be able to take full control of every single area of our lives. Let us continue to repent of our transgressions so that eternity will indeed become a reality at the end of our journey on this earth.
