Good Morning, Wow what an outstanding couple of days and hours for the Lakeville North Program. The boys and team began their high school state tournament ambitions facing the likes of historic Roseau Rams. A tough game that could not be decided in regulation, but overtime off the stick of a freshman who played hero for the Panthers. First time in Lakeville North history that the Panthers have advanced to the semifinal rounds, and the team would not be content with just that. The Panthers faced off to a capacity crowd last night against the Eden Prairie Eagles, a team that North literally dominated earlier this season. The boys knew that last nights game was not going to be the same as the first time they played them earlier in the season. For those of you who watched on TV or made their way down to the X, experienced the heart and dedication of both teams during the ensuing battle, selling out on every shift, blocking shots, sacrificing their bodies, and of course Celeying hard! Really a true reminder and testament that define this tournament and is a representation of the State of hockey. Fatigue would not take away from the intensity of this one as both teams played hard into a second overtime, only to witness history off the stick of J.P. and the puck hitting the twine, sending a frenzy of teammates onto the ice chasing glory and history for our program, truly remarkable. Game time tonight 7:00 pm, place, Excel Energy Center, Panthers vs. Hornets. Thank you, Okie
