Good Morning! Yesterday morning I talked about taming the tongue. This morning I want to talk about it a little more James 3:7-12 says All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is restless evil and full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our LORD and FATHER, with it we curse men, who have been made in Gods likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water. Judging from the next set of illustrations how is it possible for humans to curse others and praise God. In Proverbs 13:2,3 says From the fruit of his lips a man enjoys good things, but the unfaithful have a crave for violence. He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin. Speak truth, speak life and bring forth fresh water into peoples lives. If you dont have anything good to say then dont speak or it could ruin you. Have a Blessed Day!
