Good Morning everyone,transfer speculations this morning...Louis Van Gaal targets Strootman, Carvalho and Clasie after Kroos U-turn MANCHESTER UNITED boss Louis Van Gaal has put Kevin Strootman, William Carvalho and Jordy Clasie at the top of his wishlist after giving up on Toni Kroos. It was reported earlier this week that United were close to signing the Bayern Munich midfielder, but now its understood that Van Gaal has turned his attention elsewhere. The Dutchman has worked with centre-midfielder Strootman during his time as the Netherlands boss and was a key cog in his World Cup qualification bid. However, the 24-year-old will not feature in Brazil due to a long-term injury he sustained playing for Roma in March - which could also mean the signing wont go ahead until the January window. Van Gaal is also keen to take advantage of 22-year-old Carvalhos £36m release clause at Sporting Lisbon, amid speculation that Marouane Fellaini is set to leave Old Trafford in a cut-price deal. The Portuguese defensive midfielder helped his side to a second-place finish in the Primeira Liga last term, but will need some convincing to leave the club hes been at since the age of 13. United are also keen on Feyenoord’s Clasie - dubbed the new Xavi - who also worked with Van Gaal on his international duties. The 22-year-old, also tracked by Arsenal and Tottenham, contributed eight assists and a goal to finish as runners-up in the Eredivisie this year.
