Good Thursday Morning! We, in the natural, want to handle life in our own way; to be in control.....its a survival instinct, but God wants us to know that we are limited in our own strength and abilities to go through and finish in this life - to be prepared for the next life or better yet - for eternal life. When we take the reins then God lets go of the reins. When we set our course and manage our way, then its also up to handle the results of these choices, decisions and actions....but God! But God says if well trust in Him, rely on Him, have faith in Him to take the reins, set the course and manage the way; then He is responsible for the results - and He tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (NLT) He tells us how to do this, in order to receive it, in the verses that follow, by praying and seeking Him - 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, says the Lord. - Jeremiah 29:12-14a (NKJV) He also tells us that there is a higher standard, which we are not operating in, yet He does, and because he has the reins on our future plans, Hell get us through. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. - Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV). The awesome thing about God, is loves us such that whatever weve done, whatever choices weve made, wherever we at at....when we let go and let God; He reigns, with the reins. So we are no longer what we were, but are anew. If we receive this Word and apply it - we are redeemed, made new, in Him........
