Good Thursday Morning, my friends. Im up, two miles done, breakfast, and one cup of coffee. Feeling much better this morning. This morning we will be in Psalm 87. When I read this, I was like what? I know that the city that God founded is Jerusalem. Jerusalem is Gods City and He loves Jerusalem and His people. I wasnt quite sure about 4-7, so I did some research. 4-7 is actually speaking of the church, Gods people who are His chosen people because of their faith in Him... Jews and Gentiles. It is speaking of us. Anyone who has when called by the Holy Spirit, made the decision to follow and give their lives to Christ. We are written in His book, and are citizens of Jerusalem, the New Jerusalem, Gods Holy City. Our citizenship is the New Jerusalem according to Paul in Galatians 4:26- But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother. As Christians, we are aliens here. This world is not our home. While we are here, we are to impact the lives of others by sharing the love of Christ with them. We are to serve, love, grow, share, live in peace, and give God the glory in all things. The last verse is probably directions to the musicians on how this Psalm is to be performed. Have a blessed day my friends.
