Good afternoon, Lakeland families! The holiday season is upon us, and for many of us it is a “Season of Thanks”. Many parents and students seek ways to thank the educators who are making this year great. There’s no better way to do this than through Lewisville ISD Education Foundation’s Changing Children’s Lives Award. To make this award on behalf of your favorite educator or educators, simply visit LISDEF/thanks. In return for a donation to LEF of any amount, even as little as $5, you can share your appreciation in as many or as few words as you would like. LEF will send that message and a nice certificate to me, the campus principal, and I will present it to the educator at our faculty lunch/meeting just before the winter break. It’s a great way to reflect on the great impact our Lakeland educators have on our students. And the best part is this: the teacher at each level (elementary, middle and high school) who receives the most awards in his/her honor will be awarded a $250 grant from LEF for his/her classroom.
