Good afternoon folks seems to be a pleasant enough day out there today, both teams are on till late and are out and about across the wards in Redcar. We are looking forward to assisting in the Town Centre on Friday with the big light switch on, there will also be performances throughout the day by lots of local school children coordinated by Redcars answer to Gareth Malone aka Chris Nixon so I am sure we are in for a treat . We have been made aware of a burglary on Lumley Rd Redcar so perhaps a good time to remind folk that when you are going to be out ensure to leave a light on or better still get some plug in timer switches that could turn lights tvs etc on and off to create the impression the house is occupied, theives tend to target houses that they think are unoccupied. Our Crime prevention officer does have some small stocks of security products for sale at very reasonable prices including plug in timers , shed alarms mini door chimes.
