Good evening. The Bible says: At my first answer no man stood - TopicsExpress

Good evening. The Bible says: At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear... (2 Timothy 4:16-17 KJV) Paul... Faithful Paul. History says he was a small feller . About 4 6. He even had a handicap , though the Bible gives a hint or two, it doesnt say exactly what it was. Ive read where some thought it was an eye disease which was common in that region. Some have written that it was a speach problem. Hence, he had some problem communicating. A man born out of due season ( 1Cor 15:8), he was not one of the 12 but after Judas He became a mighty dynamo spreading the Gospel throughout the region and around the world. He also shared a common battle with you and me. Sometimes he had to take a stand... And sometimes it meant he had to stand... Alone. Forsaken. You and I know how that feels. If there was any doubt about him, you can take notice of that earnest request to not lay it to their charge. Thats something we need to learn. We have revengeful hearts. Part of our upbringing . Thats the mark of men like The a Apostle Paul and the likes of ol Stephen. To not fall for the Devils old tricks .. Learning to hate and fight is his work. Learning to Love one another and forgive one another is a priceless attribute .... of a truly Born Again Christian. He didnt major on the minor. His major objective was not popularity; but the preaching of the Gospel. Dont forget why youre here. Good night.
