Good evening everyone, Pumpkin update: I just got off of the phone around 9:36 with our vet about Pumpkin. Pumpkin is a very very sick little man! He is very under weight, he has an abscess on his shoulder where they drained approximately 3/4 of a cup of puss this was from a recent bite wound in the shoulder area, his wound on his neck has been derided. Pumpkin is also HIV positive. Right now he is in the fight of his life from the infection alone that is the reason he was limping it is very bad. Now here is the dilemma, Pumpkin no longer has a home because of his HIV status, the person that was going to take him cant because she has other kitties, and I would give him to her because of that reason anyway. This is where we need some help, I cannot in good conscious put Pumpkin down because he is HIV positive, my niece did not trap him to kill him, so with that being said we are looking for a home for Pumpkin, he needs to be the only cat, or with other cats that are HIV positive. Even a rescue that deals with HIV kitties would be awesome! I am not putting a time frame on finding him a home, of course the sooner the better but his life will not be in danger of being put down if it is later then sooner. We have a home that we are currently fixing up and we are there daily for hours, if I can not find him a home that is where he will be until a home can be found. He will be safe, secure inside, with all the love and food he can stand. So with that being said Please say a prayer that your boy makes it through this infection. Also if I could have some suggestions or if you know of someone that could take on Pumpkin please let me know. Thank you for all of your support!
