Good evening/morning/afternoon everyone. Sorry so late in posting this today again. Did a lot of running around today for the first time in a long time with the new vehicle. We love it! Anyway the word of the day is: Ardor (noun)1) Great warmth of feeling, fervor, passion. ex- She spoke persuasively and with ardor. 2) Intense devotion, eagerness, or enthusiasm; zeal. ex-His well known ardor for Chinese art. 3) Burning heat. The origin of the word Ardor comes from the Latin ard(ere) meaning to burn and the suffix -or. which often occurs in loan words from Latin and denotes a condition or property of things. In Middle English this word was often spelled ardure.
