Good evening to you! Wow, what a day we have had! Heres to a less stressful weekend!! Kolby is hanging in there and has an appointment first thing in the morning. I will certainly update you on his condition, and I thank you so much for al the well wishes! If there is trouble to be found, a dog is gonna find it, agreed? We are setting out have-a-heart traps and installing more lighting. I wondered why it didnt go after our horse, but instead chose to go into an enclosed barn full of German Shepherds? The things you deal with when you live Out Yonder. Gheesh!! Oh a happier note, You have VOTED and CHOSEN names for our two Male Puppies! Blue Boy has been named Sergeant!! (with Bullet coming in a close 2nd) Green Boy has been named Major! Thank you so much for participating in our NAME GAME! Dont go too far away, as we have 7 females that also need names! I shall get one posted in the morning after we get home from the vet. The Puppies reached the 2 week old milestone today!! The Fat Kid of the day was Orange Girl! She gained 3ozs!! In ONE day!! She didnt miss a single meal yesterday, I guess! The puppies all had their first manicure/pedicure. Trying to reach those tiny thumb toes is a nightmare, but everyone did well. Tomorrow they all get the first worming, along with Momma Savannah. Everyone has their eyes open now. They can not see so clearly right now and it will take a few days for their vision to clear up. But I can tell you when Momma Savannah comes into the room, those little noses KNOW it! They wake from a dead sleep and start screaming and running! FOOD is very important to them right now, its all about survival. They claw their way through to get to Momma, pushing and shoving anyone in the way. One day, these tiny wild animals will be your best friend, your biggest fan and your fearless protector. Amazing. Just amazing!
