Good morning, Beautiful sunny morning here although all set to change tomorrow. Instead of the usual two hours at Alzheimers Club, we stayed for four and half hours. We took our own lunch. The others were having a Fish and Chip lunch (which Mum didnt want.) We sat and ate our sandwiches with the delicious smell of fish and chips around us. Mum said next time she will have them with the others. Mum only asked to go home once , I told her later and she joined in the games and was actually chatting to two other ladies. I moved away slightly so she could be a bit more independent but could still see me. However, one of the ladies she was talking to looked slightly upset and said she was worried that we had such a long drive home. It turned out that in conversation Mum had told them that she lived in Wandsworth, London instead of just four miles from the club. Obviously, the two ladies she was chatting with had the same condition and believed her. When I reminded her where she lived she just said What am I like She is getting some benefit from the Group and, although some of the conversations are a bit confusing, it seems to be doing her good mixing with other people.
