Good morning, England, Wales and the Isle of Man: A showery start to the day across parts of North West England, West Midlands, Wales and the South West. Some of the showers will be rather heavy, especially across the North West into the West Midlands. One or two showers will also affect parts of the far North East, however they will be more isolated here. For the rest of England and the Channel Islands, the day will start off generally dry with some sunny spells along with variable cloud cover. As the morning progresses showers will continue to affect the North West of England, West Midlands, Wales and the South West, again there will be some heavy bursts with the possibility of a rumble of thunder mixed in. Elsewhere for England conditions will remain fairly dry but there will always be the possibility of a brief shower or two at times. Despite the fine start for the Channel Islands, conditions will soon cloud over, with showers developing here. Showers will ease in frequency across the North West of England, West Midlands, Wales and the South West, however, one or two are still likely although they won’t be as heavy. Showers will also start to affect parts of the North East of England as well as parts of Yorkshire, although the showers will be well scattered and in between, there will be brighter spells developing. Elsewhere across England and the Channel Islands, there will be sunny spells as well as variable cloud cover. There will be a risk of brief showers during the afternoon and they will pop just about anywhere, however, they will be rather isolated and most areas will escape them. Temperatures will range from 12°c - 18°c, with the warmest temperatures being in the South East. Scotland, NI & Isle of Man: Showers to start the day across northern Scotland, these will continue throughout the morning, however there will be some brighter spells in between. For Central and Southern Scotland, conditions will remain dry with some sunny spells along with variable cloud cover. For this afternoon the showers will become less frequent in the North, so many areas will enjoy a drier afternoon. Across central and southern areas, there will be some showers, although they will be fairly well scattered and many areas will remain dry. In between the showers there will be brighter spells. Temperatures will range between 9°c - 14°c, however, in any sunny spells it will feel warmer. For NI and the Isle of Man, we have another day of sunshine and showers in store. The showers will be hit and miss so some areas will escape them and remain fine throughout the day. In between the showers, sunny spells will develop. Temperatures will average around 14°c.
