Good morning, England, Wales & the Channel Islands: A fine - TopicsExpress

Good morning, England, Wales & the Channel Islands: A fine start across much of England and Wales, with plenty of sunny spells around. There are a few areas with some cloud cover and mist this morning, noticeably across parts of the Midlands, South East, South West, North Wales, East Yorkshire and parts of Cumbria. The sun will soon burn through most of this cloud, however, in some areas the cloud may linger for a time this morning, especially across the South East and southern coasts, were drizzle may also develop at times. Across the Channel Islands, conditions will start off cloudy, however as the morning progresses, sunny spells will develop at times. During the afternoon across all areas, there will be plenty of sunny spells along with variable cloud cover. Some of this cloud cover will be thick enough at times, for the odd spot of light rain and drizzle to develop across some higher routes, however, any areas of light rain and drizzle will be very isolated and most areas will remain fine & dry. Feeling warm today, with temperatures ranging from 17°c - 21°c, slightly higher in any sustained sunny periods. Scotland, NI & Isle of Man: Quite a cloudy & misty start across parts of Scotland, NI and the Isle of Man, with only eastern Scotland seeing any sunny spells. As the morning progresses, the sun will start to burn through and sunny spells will develop, although some areas may remain cloudy for a time this morning. During the afternoon, more sunny spells will develop, although they won’t be widespread, so some areas will remain cloudy. Over some higher routes, light showers and patchy drizzle may develop, although they will be isolated and most areas will remain dry. The best of the conditions will remain across eastern areas of Scotland. Temperatures generally ranging from 15°c - 18°c, although in any sunny spells 20°c will be possible. Have a wonderful day, Stuart.
