Good morning FB family and friends...its that time for Run Morning thoughts... If you could meet 3 people, living or passed, who would they be and why? Martin Luther King Jr: I wish I could have been there, standing hand in hand, marching toward Birmingham, Alabama...singing in solidarity against segregation, and listen, first hand, his speech I have a dream... John Fitzgerald Kennedy: Stand in awe, during his inauguration speech and challenge to his fellow Americans: And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country... Lastly, and the only man still living... Morgan Freedman: One of my favorite actors, activists and yes, just an all around amazing American...Id love to have a beer, some fresh bayou Creole, in his Resturant in Louisiana, listening to his personal life story and maybe, just maybe, play some good ole fashion blues/jazz with him... These 3 men, have changed our country and world more than they have ever imagined...we need more influential men and women, who challenged the rules, showed strength and restraint in the face of oppression and unfavorable sentiment and adversity in their time... I hope that someday, I could only hope to be a quarter of a man, that these men have been...thank you for your sacrifice, challenge and contributions you have made, to make this country what it is today...I pray that youre legacies have not been forgotten!
