Good morning Friends. Its Sunday, the Lords day. This is not - TopicsExpress

Good morning Friends. Its Sunday, the Lords day. This is not necessarily an ecumenical statement, but points to ponder loosely based on events presented in the Bible. If Jesus died on the Cross for our sins and was resurrected to show the world the power of Christ over death, and Jesus himself raised people from death to show the power of true love and belief over death, If he could feed the multitudes and make the wine from water, if he said the meek shall inherit the earth ( the Beatitudes, Mathew Chapter 5) and if you do it unto the least of these you do it unto me. If we believe that these are the teachings of the Lord do you think he did these things so we could besmirch the downtrodden, take from the needy, deny the sick. or judge those who we think are inferior, or speak badly of our brothers and sisters. I think not, but I do not profess to know the mind of the Lord. Know this however, He sent the Holy Spirit (Ghost) to reside in our hearts and guide us in his ways, and it is to our demise if we fail to heed His guidance. He, the Lord, will be the judge of our worth, not the worldly. Go forward and do the Lords bidding, for in this we to will be glorified. This is a personal thought: To do unjust things in the name of the Lord (to paraphrase words of a Beatles hit song) youll get a Ticket To Ride but maybe not where you think.
