Good morning. Here is my TTTT and what you may see is graphic, but there is a point to be made. Yesterday, I came across a situation where I had to perform a duty that I took an oath to do some 21 years ago: protect life and property. Period! My job is to protect life and property by enforcing and educating on the fire and life safety codes. Many people dont understand this, but these codes were pretty much written in blood! In other words, people died in tragic fires in history in which the codes came about. The Iroquois Theater in Chicago and the Coconut Grove Nightclub in Boston come to mind of why particular fire codes currently exist. I was glad I was able to come across a dangerous condition that was easily abated, but when people tell me I am being unreasonable or just look the other way, I take serious offense to that; in particular of who I am and what I truly believe.
