Good morning!! Meet Jean-François (/jahn-frahn-suhwah/), my new Betta. His beautiful blue color did not show up in the picture, unfortunately. He lives on my kitchen island, and once in a while endures me singing Les poissons as the chef in The Little Mermaid did as I am prepping food by him.... I LOVE using stuff not as designed. This was a large glass jar, not a fish aquarium that I found in the kitchen section and got this vision.....the second picture is how I adapt things as needed, I put 3M poster strips (doubled up for extra spacing) under the lid to allow air flow, but keep it covered so there are no cat incidents and also create a cushion for quiet open and closing, to not disturb him. I have never considered myself to be creative and always thought I was bad at art (deep rooted issues with one B I received from an art teacher in junior high that haunts me...but thats for another day)....anyway--I sure feel a sense of accomplishment when I create something unique that is all my own!
