Good morning People of God its 6:00 am, and its wonderful to be in the land of the living. As we move forward into the Christmas holidays, lets reflect on the God of the season, and not just the season itself. We at times will find ourselves going through certain storms, struggles, and situations that we may not understand, and our minds will think that its very strange. But: Its Not Strange At All Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: (1 Peter 4:12) As I struggle this morning in my writing not because I dont have anything to say, but because I always want to be led as to what God would say to us this morning. I strive to always be transparent in my expressions, with no one to impress except Jesus. It seems as if these days, my emotions are high, and at times very mixed. Some would call it confusion, but I promise you thats not it at all. The reality of it all is that we are all humans living in a fleshly shell thats not always as cooperative as we think that it should be. We are admonished to have the mind of Christ, but truth be told we dont always have that mind. Can I be truthful, and dispose of masks, and myths? There will be days when we just dont feel the effects of who we really are in Christ. Days when we feel failure, days when we feel defeated, and every imaginable emotion except victory. I know that this is not poplar reading, but I promise you that its real truth in most of our lives at one time or another. People will try and gauge your walk with God by the words that come out of your mouth, or the emotions that they see in times of struggle, not fully understanding that what they believe you are, or are not, has no bearing on the man or woman of God that God is raising up. I believe in being real, no holds barred because at the end of the day we all have to deal with reality. You see, reality comes not when we are in our crowd or clique busy trying to live up to everyone elses standards, wearing our game faces, smiling on the outside and feeling everything but victorious on the inside. Reality comes when there is no one around to perform for, and its just you and God. Thats when the series of questions began to go up to God. God why is it this way, or that way? God why do I have to deal with these situations on this level that seems to be so intense? God where is my life heading, and how did it get so far away from where it was? And we not only find out exactly why we are going through the trials, and tribulations that we are facing daily, but we began to learn how to deal with the reality of the situation. The Bible says it this way, 12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: (1 Peter 4:12) People may look at you strange, talk about you strange, and you yourself may even began to think it strange yourself, but God will began to unravel what was once a mystery in your mind, your spirit, and your emotions. The Bible makes it even plainer to us when it continues, 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christs sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy. (1 Peter 4:13) As I close; Lets learn to get everything out of whatever experiences that God is allowing us to go through in our lives. And no, your emotions does not dictate who you are in Christ. People of God, Its Not Strange At All.
