Good morning! Psalm 85: 10-11 Unfailing love and truth have met together. Righteousness and peace have kissed. Truth springs up from the earth, and righteousness smiles down from Heaven. I have always loved the Psalms. Every emotion, tear, joy, , fear, anxiety, failure, encouragement, motivation, peace, love and so much more, are recorded in the Psalms. It is comforting to know that someone, long ago, experienced what I have experienced and they wrote it down. We reap the benefits of those very early writers! We live during a time when we find it nearly impossible to trust people. Dont get me wrong...there are a lot of good people that we encounter on a daily basis. Even though these are good times, and I always find the good in each day, it doesnt stop those who choose to hurt others, to shatter hearts and dreams and much more. There have been times in my life when I have cried out to the Lord, how much longer? Its during that waiting period that I have learned to trust Him. Trusting God should be a daily thing for Christians. Yet, as people, we find it extremely difficult to wait. We want answers and relief NOW! God has a better plan! Truth will always prevail but sometimes it doesnt come forth fast enough for us. While meditating on these verses I discovered that while we wait for truth, unfailing love surrounds us. We tend to forget that during our waiting period, God is loving us up! But because of our anxiety or fear, we miss that. We need to do better. When we realize that unfailing love and truth go hand in hand, then righteousness and peace have kissed! Now read that a few times, then say it to your heart with your eyes closed! Amazing!! I love that righteousness and peace have kissed! I find great comfort in that. So is today just another ho-hum day for you? Or is fear creeping around you or anxiety?
