Good morning! Sitting here having my favorite breakfast, Shakeology, and I just feel like I need to share all that it has done for me. Since starting my journey into getting healthy, I gotta say that one thing I have learned along the way is that your body will get better results if you make 80% of your focus on your nutrition. I have attempted, and quit, many different types of exercise. Just fell of the wagon, you know? Jogging, Couch to 5K, walking, joined a gym (because it was so affordable, but 35 minutes away, who was I kidding?), Weight Watchers videos. And you know what, they all worked, for a little while. But I never really changed what I put into my body, maybe decreased it, but never really changed. Nutrition is the hardest part! Sure, sometimes it is much easier to sit on the couch and watch Netflix, browse Facebook or whatever (guilty), but exercising is easier than eating healthy! You get the instant gratification that you feel you did something today. Then you go have some pizza, or cookies, or that Halloween candy that is still hanging around. So hard to fight those cravings. So how can you change your nutrition without counting calories, or points, or taking questionable supplements? Shakeology! 1. It’s convenient. Easy to make, takes about 1 minute out of my morning. Helps with the craziness of trying to get out the door everyday, not miss the bus or be late to work! Also helps when I haven’t made it to the grocery store to replenish other healthy snack options, it’s always on hand. 2. It has all the vitamins your body needs that you may have taken as a multivitamin. I HATE swallowing those giant things--GAG, and I had started taking the gummies (!), which have so many added non-vitamin ingredients it’s scary. 3. It gives natural energy because it gives you the right carbohydrate to protein ratio to keep your energy at a constant level vs. a carb overload and crash later. It provides the energy I need to get through the day and to find time to squeeze in that workout when I know otherwise, I would skip it. 4. It curbs cravings for sweets! I can’t stress this enough. If I don’t have my shake, I grab everything in sight. And when I still get a craving (it happens), I can make a shake for my treat. Chocolate peanut butter milkshake anyone? 5. Personally, thank God, I don’t have any serious health issues, but testimonials reveal that people have been able to quit taking various medications for cholesterol and other ailments. Shakeology is not a weight loss or a protein shake, it is a wellness shake! It’s my daily dose of dense superfood nutrition, and I would love to share it with you!
