Good morning. So the roadwork that was going to be done today has been postponed. Finally back to more seasonal weather, and probably sweatshirt weather for those of you out later tonight. One other thing. One of our Officers was out in front of the station this morning washing the cruiser, before his shift started. As he did this in full uniform in front of the police station he watched two people drive right by him, one with a child in a car seat and one younger driver BOTH texting while they drove by him. Yes, when your head is nodded down and your cell phone is in your lap we realize your probably not making a phone call. Distracted driving/texting while driving is extremely dangerous and has almost surpassed operating under the influence as one of the leading causes of preventable car crashes. AT&T released a video on distracted driving called It Can Wait last year. This seems like a great time to post this video. Please watch and share!
