Good morning ) Those who dont feel like reading a long post. Read the P.S part Monday, 21th October 2014 11:30 a.m. I was in district park of my area for a morning walk. After about two rounds, I sat at the place I never sat earlier. This change in place because at the previous point, guys started coming and staring and passing comments. I tried to IGNORE that and changed the place in order to AVOID (as we are usually told to). So this new place in park where I sat, opposite it was a covered platform, where two boys were sitting. And I just thought to myself, not here again but then, you cant make the world to turn their face away when you are out. So, I, along with my friend sat there. A few minutes later I noticed one of the guy holding his phone, in such a way as if taking our pic. I told my friend I suspected the guys, she said its not like that. A moment later, I looked that way again just to ensure, and boom! the guy with phone was nowhere to see and his friend was making some gestures, to someone on my left side. Yes, the guy with the phone had now come near to get a pic. And as I looked at him, he put down his phone. Again my friend didnt believe me. I was by this time very angry, and to my surprise, even after being somewhat caught, the guy was again holding his phone as if taking our pic. A group of ladies was sitting besides us. A few men were also there. I didnt really know what to do. Because avoiding this was surely not an option. Finally, I dont know from where the strength came! I moved in the direction of those guys quite quickly, telling a man on my way what the guys were doing! Yes, I SPOKE, I screamed! The men around gathered and supported us. To my despair we couldnt trace any pics, because the boys said the phone was off because of low battery. No one in the crowd could turn it on. He didnt reply when I asked why he was then posing as if clicking pic, if the phone was really off and that too, doing it thrice! The men around tackled with boys, some by threatening and other by counseling. And thankfully, his friend gave a statement supporting us! But we couldnt get hold the pics, if any. And that is bothering me. The boy was so much defensive and was instead shouting at me that hes not at fault. But finally he apologised, not with truly feeling he did wrong, but to close the matter. The apology doesnt make it any better for me. My privacy, my life was attacked, nobody gets the right to spoil it! I just hope this disturbing incident doesnt happen with anyone! And if it does, TAKE A STAND!! But!! Whats the need for boys to do such things! How would it be like for you guys if someone clicks pics of your sister/girlfriend/mother/wife!! And yes, I was fully covered, wearing tracks and sweatshirt, hair properly tied. There was nothing so called provoking in my clothes or behaviour. My friend too was covered and we werent laughing or doing anything that would supposedly catch any guys attention. So, those who feel its clothes or behaviour that provokes crime against women, kindly enlighten me. Now, those you believe ladkiyo ko ladke ni dekhenge to kaun dekhega or ladko ki umar hoti hai ye sab karne ki. I wont say to you apni maa behen ko taad lo/tadwa lo. Because they are women too and victims as well. Just think to yourself that this hormonal change happens with women too but do they go around disturbing boys and their life?? PS- Disturbing someones peace of mind doesnt fall in living life to fullest . If you enter someones area of comfort/privacy be ready to be thrashed!! PPS- I will go to the park as I usually did, its not my fault, its his. He should be ashamed of his acts, its him who should lock up himself in home till he learns to behave in a civilised way, and starts respecting others life!! ----------------------------- I was sent this text last night. Im glad that I dont have to tell her what to do. She already knows how to fight for whats right. Make sure you knows that too. Every time, Everywhere. Kudos to Meenakshi :)
