Good morning all!! A brief statement about yesterday Modified Mania (Devon Car Show), as most of you are aware 2014 we had been asked to support and sponsor the show, we have always worked hard to support local clubs and shows off all sizes. After the 2013 show we got approached by the organisers to use our photos for their advertising and promotion for the coming year in exchange we would have a trade stand to promote our name and great companies and groups we work close with, this to us was a simple exchange of services. Upon arrival yesterday at 8am it was clear we did not have a stand and there was no intention of giving us a trade space, after 12months use of our images this was our payday and we were not going to get it, when we asked the organiser the response was we can stand here all day and argue about or you can just park there! And by park it was at the far reach of the event at the edge of the club section on a spare bit of grass and we had come geared up to more than park we wanted to advertise! Sadly as of today we will no longer affiliate or support this event and I can only apologise to everyone that came to support RaceLine Media including CP Racing in their amazing RX7! This was not a charity event the organisers of modified mania are there to make a profit.. As much as companies seem to behave photography is not free we all pay £1000s for kit, editing software and time. It is situations like this that devalue photography/media and encourages unprofessional behaviour from companies like photo stealing and cropping out watermarks. I know we were not the only ones who experienced this kind of attitude and problem, I feel let down we have had our name associated with something so poorly organised.. Thats all that needs to be said on that.. On a positive note thank you to all of the people that came up to see us, thank you to all of the clubs on show it was great to see and thanks to all the drifters non stop all day! Roll on the next event lesson learned!
