Good morning everybody! I ran across this and wanted to share my thoughts.. Its all about the shopping. What a ridiculous song. Its a contradiction of itself in every verse. I am a Christian and I celebrate Christmas but I have many friends of different faiths and have celebrated their faith with them during the Christmas season, and I feel Blessed and honored that they shared them with me. I am 70 years old and as long as I can remember I have heard Happy Holidays as a greeting at this time of year and it has never offended anybody. Oh, and by the way, even an atheist can put up a Christmas tree in their window and play Christmas music just so you will come in and spend your money. Do you know how many stores around the country are owned by people of another faith other than Christian that display a Christmas setting just so you will come in and shop? So, before you go into that store that has all the Christmas displays and playing the Christmas music, you better do your homework and go on the internet and find out who really owns the big department stores with all their Christmas trees and lights and Christmas decorations. You may be surprised. So, if its all about the shopping, as the song suggests, then I say get a clue and go home and get on your knees and pray for forgiveness for your arrogance and ignorance and for understanding and the true meaning of Christmas instead of shopping.
