Good morning everyone. My password for today is... Romans 9v33 Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Paul quotes a number of passages to construct his sentence. Psa 118v22 Isa 8v14 18v16. In these passages Paul describes the Act of God setting Christ in his place. When Christ came he was the chosen chief corner stone, but he became through the rejection of the leaders of Israel a place where Israel fell. They tripped up over him. They were offended by him, YET Whoever believed in him will never be ashamed of him. In the next few passage Paul is describing the place of Israel in this present age of Grace. We will be way out of our comfort zone. Thinking about things that are hard to understand. The Key to it all is the rejection of Our Lord Jesus Christ by the Religious / Political leaders of his day. John says, He came unto him own, but his own received him not but as many as received him to them gave he power to become sons of God even to those that believed in his name. John 1
