Good morning everyone. Welcome to the Lords Day. The clouds didnt clear out in time to allow formation of frost this morning, that probably wont be the case in the morning. Decreasing clouds today, upper 50s. Chilly tonight, low to mid 30s. Partly cloudy Monday morning with patchy frost, upper 50s in the afternoon and clouds increasing. A reinforcing shot of cold air brings showers overnight and into Tuesday, a raw, low to mid 50s. A few days of dry, but cool weather, as a noreaster (yes, Virginia, that happens in winter) blows up off the north Atlantic coast. The noreaster slows the pattern till next weekend, when the cold resumes its takeover attempt. More hints of what may be in store for us, as a large chunk of Europe and Asia are building impressive snow packs. You might have heard the news report of dozens were killed in a massive avalanche in the Himalayan mountains. Mighty early in the year to be talking avalanche in the northern hemisphere… That cold air plays a big part that sets up the atmospheric blocking which produces similar weather here.
