Good morning fb. As I read the response to an article posted by Ronald Holt from the Chicago Tribune re a police war against black men, I shook my head. The white male who responded basically said that instead of blocking Lake Shore Drive in defense of a thug from Ferguson, we should be marching for the innocent children killed on Chicagos south side. I partially agree with him. I have no problem with the protests re Michael Brown & Eric Garner but shouldnt charity start at home? Ive been told that there are marches all around Chicago re the murders and gun violence and I even participated in one with Barbara Robinson-King, Kevin Kharacter King Sr, Monesia Camper and Shaneah Taylor earlier this year. Have they made a real difference? Are we operating as a cohesive, consistent unit to really stop the violence here? I say no but if someone can prove me wrong PLEASE respond. Im not posting this as a put down; Im posting this as a wake up call. We need to stop the murders of our children in Chicagos streets in 2015.
