Good morning folks. I received a check yesterday for 926.50 from the giveforward fundraiser. Thank you brie and everyone!!!! I also.sold $1200 worth of beads and jewelry supplies. I am still waiting on a decision from the department of labor on unemployment. I had a hearing Tuesday and havent received any payments yet, Im going on 3 weeks out of work. As of this moment I am still not sure what to.do with my girls. Deannas place in Canada is still under ice. We also agreed that the trip there will be too much for Jen and whinney. For those that dont know, jen is blind and whinney is well into her 30s. Both are very happy and have good quality of life right now, but moving them could very well put them over the edge. I have come to the difficult conclusion that if they do need to move, jen and whinney will need to be put down. But even then I cant do anything because the ground is still frozen deep, we are still in the depths of winter here in Connecticut, it was 15 yesterday morning still. The cost of removal here is astronomical, even euthanasia is going to be a couple hundred dollars each. In speaking with many rescues about a place for my girls, Tara farm rescue has pledged to purchase feed for my girls for 2 months. I have to run to the feed store and pick up the first order today. NEER north sent $200 toward hay last month. Im continuing to look locally but am still not having any luck. I am still pounding the keyboard looking for a job. I send out about 20 resumes per week on average. I cant do anything about selling my house yet to reduce my debt because I cant get another mortgage without a job. A 3 bedroom rent here is $1300-$2000/month, my mortgage is $1500. It makes no sense to sell and rent temporarily until I get a job. So thats where I am at right now. I want you to know that I am continuing to go through anything of value I own and sell it. I dont want to use the donated money until or unless I have exhausted every other means. It was pledged to move my horses, not to feed them. I write all this because I believe in total transparancy when ites to other peoples money and good will. I am so humbled by the support you all have shown, and I really dont like to accept help. Im a stubborn Irish german new englander, we are tough stock and like to take care of ourselves, so this is really difficult for me. Thank you again.
